There would also be significantly fewer drivers on the road, reducing congestion, reducing costs for firms, and ultimately helping save the environment as not as many petrol and diesel cars are polluting the earth. There would also be added health benefits, such as reducing obesity as drivers would be encouraged to use public transport which would involve walking to bus and train stations.
