Answers

Answer 1

Bonita Company has completed its operating budgets. The sales budget for the year shows 45,000 units and total sales of $2,025,000. The total cost of producing one unit is $25. Thus, the cost of each unit will be $2,025,000/45,000, which equals $45.

Selling and administrative expenses for the year are budgeted at $500,000. Interest expense for the year is budgeted to be $125,000. The tax rate for the year is 30 percent. Bonita Company, like any other company, requires budgets for it to forecast its future revenues and expenses, to develop a spending plan, and to allocate resources. Operating budgets involve the budgeting of the company’s revenue and expenses, production, and marketing. Here, Bonita Company is shown to have completed all of its operating budgets. It is essential for the company to know the total cost of producing one unit to make strategic decisions concerning pricing. The sales budget for the year has shown 45,000 units and total sales of $2,025,000. The revenue can be calculated by multiplying the number of units with the price of each unit.

Which of the following is a criticism of multinational corporations?

A) multinationals sometimes support reactionary and oppressive regimes
B) multinationals require excessive employment information
C) countertrading
D) the transference of labor-intensive technology
E) multinationals do not do enough to standardize their marketing mixes

Answers

One criticism of multinational corporations is that A) Multinationals sometimes support reactionary and oppressive regimes in their pursuit of profits.

This is a criticism of multinational corporations because they may prioritize their economic interests over human rights and social issues. By supporting oppressive regimes, these corporations may inadvertently contribute to human rights abuses and social inequalities.

This has been seen in instances where multinationals have partnered with governments that have poor human rights records or have engaged in environmentally destructive practices. Additionally, the transference of labor-intensive technology from developed to developing countries can perpetuate a cycle of low wages and poor working conditions.

However, counter trading, which involves the exchange of goods or services instead of currency, is not necessarily a criticism of multinational corporations. Finally, some argue that multinationals do not do enough to standardize their marketing mixes, potentially leading to cultural insensitivity or offensive advertising.

Edin has £300 in his savings account.
His bank offers him a fixed 5% simple interest rate per annum, for a period of 3 years.
How much interest will he have earned after 3 years?

Answers

Answer:

£45

Explanation:

To calculate the amount of interest Edin will earn after 3 years at a fixed 5% simple interest rate per annum, we can use the formula:

Interest = Principal x Rate x Time

Where:

Principal is the amount of money in Edin's savings account, which is £300

Rate is the interest rate per annum, which is 5%

Time is the period of time for which the interest is calculated, which is 3 years

Plugging these values into the formula, we get:

Interest = £300 x 0.05 x 3

Interest = £45

Therefore, Edin will have earned £45 in interest after 3 years at a fixed 5% simple interest rate per annum. His total savings at the end of the 3-year period will be the sum of the initial savings and the interest earned, which is:

Total savings = £300 + £45 = £345

Answer:

£45

Step by step explanation:

The formula for simple interest is:

I = P * r * t

where I is the interest earned, P is the principal amount, r is the annual interest rate, and t is the time period in years.

Using this formula, we can calculate the interest earned by Edin after 3 years:

I = 300 * 0.05 * 3
= 45

Therefore, Edin will have earned £45 in interest after 3 years.

we use photodiodes to track our orientation relative to the sun. briefly describe a possible signal chain from a photodiode to a microcontroller.

Answers

A possible signal chain from a photodiode to a microcontroller can involve several stages to convert the photodiode's analog output into a digital signal that can be processed by the microcontroller.

Here's a brief description of the signal chain:

Photodiode: The photodiode is a semiconductor device that generates a current proportional to the amount of light falling on it. It acts as a light sensor and converts incident light into an electrical signal.

Transimpedance Amplifier (TIA): The output current from the photodiode is typically very small. To amplify this current into a measurable voltage, a transimpedance amplifier is commonly used. The TIA converts the current from the photodiode into a voltage signal, with the gain of the amplifier being determined by the feedback resistor connected to the amplifier's input.

Signal Conditioning: Depending on the specific requirements and characteristics of the photodiode, additional signal conditioning circuitry may be employed. This could include filters to remove unwanted noise or interference, amplifiers for further gain adjustment, or voltage regulators to ensure stable power supply for the circuit.

Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC): The analog voltage signal from the previous stages needs to be converted into a digital format for processing by the microcontroller. An ADC is used to sample the analog signal and convert it into a discrete digital representation.

Microcontroller: The digital signal output from the ADC is then fed into the microcontroller. The microcontroller is a programmable device that can process the digital data and perform various calculations or make decisions based on the received information.

Nominal interest rate = 7%

Inflation rate = 8%

Real interest rate = Nominal interest rate − Inflation rate.

Answers

If Sales increase by 15 percent, the impact on the U.S. Corporation's Balance Sheet will depend on the specific variables tied to Sales.

When sales increase, it has a direct impact on various elements of a company's balance sheet. The specific variables tied to sales will determine how each component of the balance sheet is affected. Generally, an increase in sales leads to an increase in revenue, which in turn can affect several key areas.

Firstly, an increase in sales may result in higher accounts receivable if customers purchase goods or services on credit. This will lead to an increase in the asset side of the balance sheet. Additionally, if sales increase, there might be a corresponding increase in inventory to meet the higher demand, which will also impact the asset side of the balance sheet.

On the liability side, an increase in sales could result in higher accounts payable if the company needs to purchase more goods or services from suppliers. This would increase the current liabilities of the company. Overall, the specific variables tied to sales will determine the exact impact on the U.S. Corporation's Balance Sheet. With a property market value of $284,500 and an assessment ratio of 35%, the monthly taxes would amount to approximately $248.94, assuming a tax rate of 30 mills.

To calculate the monthly taxes, we need to find the assessed value of the property first. The assessed value is calculated by multiplying the market value by the assessment ratio. Assessed value = Market value * Assessment ratio

Assessed value = $284,500 * 0.35 = $99,575

Next, we need to calculate the annual taxes by multiplying the assessed value by the tax rate.Annual taxes = Assessed value * Tax rate

Annual taxes = $99,575 * (30 mills / 1000) = $2,987.25

Finally, we can calculate the monthly taxes by dividing the annual taxes by 12.Monthly taxes = Annual taxes / 12

Monthly taxes = $2,987.25 / 12 = $248.94 (rounded to the nearest cent)

Which of the following politicians did not support a policy of dtente with the Soviets? Please help me and quick!!Question is down below Use the database shown in Figures 4&5 to answer Problems 1316. ROBCOR is an aircraft charter company that supplies on-demand charter flight services using a fleet of four aircraft. Aircrafts are identified by a unique registration number. Therefore, the aircraft registration number is an appropriate primary key for the AIRCRAFT table. The destinations are indicated by standard three-letter airport codes. For example, STL=St. Louis, MO ATL= Atlanta, GA BNA = Nashville, TN Table name: AIRCRAFT \( \begin{array}{ll}\text { AC_TTAF } & =\text { Aircraft total time, airframe (hours) } \\ \text { AC_TTEL } & =\text { Total time, left engine (hours) } \\ \text { AC_TTER } & =\text { Total time, right engine (hours) }\end{array} \) In a fully developed database system, such attribute values would be updated by application software when the CHARTER table entries are posted. Table name: MODEL Customers are charged per roundtrip mile, using the MOD_CHG_MILE rate. The MOD_SEATS gives the total number of seats in the airplane, including the pilot and copilot seats. Therefore, a PA31-350 trip that is flown by a pilot and a copilot has eight passenger seats available. Database name: Ch03_AviaCo The pilot licenses shown in the PILOT table include the ATP = Airline Transport Pilot and COM = Commercial Pilot. Businesses that operate "on demand" air services are governed by Part 135 of the Federal Air Regulations (FARs) that are enforced by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Such businesses are known as "Part 135 operators." Part 135 operations require that pilots successfully complete flight proficiency checks each six months. The "Part 135" flight proficiency check date is recorded in PIL_PT135_DATE. To fly commercially, pilots must have at least a commercial license and a 2 nd class medical certificate (PIL_MED_TYPE = 2.) The PIL_RATINGS include SEL SES CFI = Single Engine, Land = Single Engine (Sea) = Certified Flight Instructor MEL = Multi-engine Land Instr. = Instrument CFII = Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument The nulls in the CHARTER table's CHAR_COPILOT column indicate that a copilot is not required for some charter trips or for some aircraft. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules require a copilot on jet aircraft and on aircraft having a gross take-off weight over 12,500 pounds. None of the aircraft in the AIRCRAFT table are governed by this requirement; however, some customers may require the presence of a copilot for insurance reasons. All charter trips are recorded in the CHARTER table. 13. For each table, identify the primary key and foreign key(s) when possible. You want to see data on charters flown by either Robert Williams (employee numberl05) or Elizabeth Travis (employee number 109) as pilot or copilot, but not charters flown by both of them. Complete Problems 14-16 to find this information. 14. Create the table that would result from applying the SELECT and PROJECT relational operators to the CHARTER table to return only the CHAR_TRIP, CHAR_PILOT, and CHAR_COPILOT attributes for charters flown by either employee 105 or employee 109 as pilot or copilot. 15. Create the table that would result from applying the SELECT and PROJECT relational operators to the CHARTER table to return only the CHAR_TRIP,CHAR_PILOT, and CHAR_COPILOT attributes for charters flown by both employee 105 and employee 109. 16.
