In the conflict over ratification of the Constitution by nine or more state conventions in 1788, Federalist supporters fought for a strong union and the adoption of the Constitution, while Anti-Federalists fought against the creation of a stronger national government and sought to preserve the predecessor to the Constitution, the Articles of Confederation.
The Federalists included wealthy merchants, clergymen, judges, lawyers, and professionals, as well as large property owners in the North. They advocated for weaker state governments, a strong centralized government, indirect election of government officials, longer term limits for officeholders, and representative democracy over direct democracy. Imperialism and Colonialism with active and passive voice
The effects of colonialism and imperialism were different, with colonialism referring to the process of establishing and maintaining colonies, while imperialism involved the extension of power and influence over other nations or territories. The long-term consequences of both for colonized regions were significant, including political, economic, and social effects.
Colonialism typically involved the establishment of settlements in colonized regions, with the colonizers imposing their own political, economic, and cultural systems on the native populations. In contrast, imperialism often involved the imposition of political and economic dominance without the establishment of settlements. Imperialism could be achieved through a variety of means, including military force, economic pressure, or political influence.
The long-term consequences of both colonialism and imperialism were significant for colonized regions. Politically, many colonized regions experienced a loss of sovereignty and self-determination, as well as the imposition of foreign political systems that were not well-suited to local conditions.

Write an essay that answers the following question: Was the United States justified in going to war against Mexico in 1846? (at least 4 paragraphs)
Answer:
The United States of America in the 1800’s was a rapidly growing country. Many people moved west for religious freedom while others were strong believers in Manifest Destiny. In order to occupy land, settlers had to find land that wasn’t already occupied. Since most of the west was a part of Mexico, this was not easy to do. Luckily, Mexicans also wanted settlers in their western lands because that area was not developed. Mexico invited Americans to settle in their land. However, both countries had many differences. It did not take long before the United States and Mexico went to war. The United States was justified in going to war because Mexico had shed American blood on American soil, Texas (a land that many Mexicans still considered theirs) was an independent republic and had the right to govern itself, and Texas was trying to become part of the United States, which means that the United States had a right to be involved, too.
Mexico had encouraged Americans to settle in the province of Texas, which was part of Mexico at the time. After the Texans and Mexicans fought, Texas won its independence from Mexico in 1836. Now, in 1846, America sent a troop of men lead by General Zachary Taylor to the Texan border to make sure the Mexicans weren’t attempting to attack Texas. This angered the Mexicans since it made it seem like Texas was now allied with America. The dispute that followed led to the death of sixteen Americans. Also, the Mexicans chose to believe that the arrival of General Zachary Taylor was an outright attack, which lead to the battles of Palo Alto and Resaca de la Palma. This shows that Mexico had taken the first step of fighting the United States. Eventually, the Mexicans were forced to surrender. As to which side fired first, this cannot be determined. In one letter to Congress, James Polk stated, “We have tried every effort at reconciliation. The cup of forbearance had been exhausted even before the recent information from the frontier of the Del Norte. But now, …Mexico has passed the boundary of the United States, has invaded our territory and shed American blood upon the American soil”.
Before Texas became part of the United States, it was an independent republic. An independent republic has the right to govern itself and set itself apart from other nations. Texas regarded the "Rio del Norte" to be the Texan border. This means that Texas now has the choice to do whatever they wish. Charles Sumner, a state legislator from Massachusetts, said, “…in seeking extension of slavery, (our own citizens denied) the great truths of American freedom” . If Texas is independent, it has the right to own slaves. Also, states in the United States already owned slaves, so the point cannot be argued any further. Sumner also said Americans brought slaves in Mexico in defiance of Mexican law. However, Mexico invited Americans into Mexico and Mexico should have realized that Americans would have different ways. Also, Texas was trying to become part of the United States, which meant that the United States had a right to go to war with Mexico.
Since Mexico could not govern all of its territory, they invited Americans in. Now that Americans were settling in unpopulated Mexican territory, the ratio of Americans to Mexicans increased. Eventually, the American lifestyle took over, and demanded different rights. Velasco-Marquez said the treaty signed between Texas and the U.S. and also the fact that Texas wanted to be annexed to the U.S. was an act of war. Texas had the right to be a part of the U.S., and if Mexico considered this an act of war with Texas, then the U.S. had the right to be involved too . Finally, James Polk said, “The invasion was threatened solely because Texas had determined…to annex herself to our Union” . If that is true, then America did have the right to declare war.
Once Mexico showed aggression to Texas, the United States had a right to go to war with Mexico because Texas was an independent republic and wanted to be annexed into the United States. Whatever Texas does, Mexico cannot have a stake in it. From these points, it can be concluded that the United States was justified in going to war with Mexico.
Explanation:
prepare a dialogue including the effect in the community in the absence of good governance.
Explanation:
As governance indicators have proliferated in recent years, so has their use and the controversy that surrounds them. As more and more voices are pointing out, existing indicators – many of them developed and launched in the 1990s – have a number of flaws. This is particularly disquieting at a time when governance is at the very top of the development agenda.
Many questions of crucial importance to the development community – such as issues around the relationship between governance and (inclusive) growth, or about the effectiveness of aid in different contexts – are impossible to answer with confidence as long as we do not have good enough indicators, and hence data, on governance.
The litany of problems concerning existing governance indicators has been growing:
Indicators produced by certain NGOs (e.g. the Heritage Foundation), but also by commercial risk rating agencies (such as the PRS Group), are biased towards particular types of policies, and consequently, the assessment of governance becomes mingled with the assessment of policy choices;
Many indicators rely on surveys of business people (e.g. the World Economic Forum's Executive Opinion Survey). While they have important insights into governance challenges given their interaction with government bureaucracies, the views of other stakeholders are also important and remain underrepresented, as are concerns about governance of less relevance to the business community (e.g. civil and human rights);
The other main methodology used are indicators produced by individuals or small groups of external experts – for example, the World Bank’s Country Policy and Institutional Assessment (CPIA), Bertelsmann’s Transformation Index, and the French Development Agency’s Institutional Profiles. This entails the risk that different experts ‘feed’ on each other’s ratings; and the depth to which external raters are able to explore the dimensions they are rating can vary.

What is American system of government?The United States is more appropriately described as a constitutional federal republic, while frequently being called a democracy. The federal democratic republic type of governance is established under the Constitution. In other words, we are a union of 50 independent States that is unbreakable. The U.S. Constitution grants Congress, the President, and the Federal courts, respectively, the authority to act as the legislative, executive, and judicial departments of the federal government.

The mention of "palomino" may symbolize a desire for something beautiful and valuable, which you feel you need to work towards earning.
It's natural to feel like you've outgrown certain people or situations in your life, and it seems like you are recognizing that you want more than just someone who is easy and comfortable. Keep striving towards your goals and don't be afraid to let go of what no longer serves you. The excerpt you provided expresses a sense of personal growth and a desire for change. The speaker states that they no longer want to be treated with excessive care or indulgence ("babied") and instead aspire to be deserving of someone named Palomino. They compare their past experiences with boys who had comfortable lives and gentle qualities, seeing them as objects they have outgrown and passed on to someone else named Minoa.
