TRUE OR FALSE yeats' anglo-irish family discouraged his artistic passions.

Answers

The statement is True. Yeats' Anglo-Irish family initially discouraged his artistic passions.

Coming from a privileged background, his family placed more importance on practical and worldly success rather than the pursuit of arts. They desired him to follow a conventional path and excel in a respectable profession. However, Yeats had an inherent drive and love for literature and poetry.

He persisted in his artistic endeavors despite his family's disapproval. Over time, Yeats immersed himself in the Celtic Revival and Irish cultural movements, delving deep into Irish mythology and folklore. His experiences and connections within these circles eventually shaped his unique poetic style and themes.

Yeats went on to become one of the most celebrated poets of the 20th century, defying his family's expectations and leaving a lasting impact on Irish and world literature. His journey stands as a testament to the power of artistic determination and passion.

what is Aronson social theory?
which of the following is not an important element in activating dissonance reduction provess?

Answers

Aronson social theory states that individuals are motivated to maintain consistency between their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. According to Aronson, cognitive dissonance is an uncomfortable feeling that people experience when they hold two or more contradictory beliefs or attitudes.

This theory suggests that when people encounter situations that challenge their beliefs or attitudes, they experience dissonance, which they attempt to reduce by changing their beliefs or attitudes, or by rationalizing their behavior. This theory is especially relevant in the areas of persuasion, attitude change, and social influence.

The four main elements that activate the dissonance reduction process are importance, consistency, control, and the presence of conflicting beliefs or attitudes. Importance refers to the degree of relevance or significance that people attach to their beliefs or attitudes.

The more important a belief or attitude is to someone, the more dissonance they will experience if they act in a way that contradicts it. Consistency refers to the degree to which people feel that their beliefs or attitudes are congruent with one another.

The more inconsistent their beliefs or attitudes are, the more dissonance they will experience. Control refers to the degree to which people feel that they have autonomy over their actions. The less control people feel they have, the less dissonance they will experience when their behavior contradicts their beliefs or attitudes.

Conflicting beliefs or attitudes are the primary cause of dissonance, and people will experience dissonance to the extent that they perceive that their beliefs or attitudes are in conflict with one another.

However, social support is not an important element in activating the dissonance reduction process. The four main elements are interdependent and work together to activate the dissonance reduction process. The presence of social support may influence how people choose to reduce dissonance, but it is not essential to activating the dissonance reduction process.

Overall, Aronson's social theory provides a useful framework for understanding how people maintain consistency between their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors, and how they respond when their beliefs or attitudes are challenged or contradicted.

Petty criminals in medieval england were often placed in stocks or (progeny, pillories)and subjected to public humiliation.

Answers

The punishment of petty criminals in medieval England was often harsh and public. One common form of punishment was to place offenders in stocks or pillories. The stocks were wooden frames with holes for the head and hands, while the pillory was a similar device that held the head and arms in place.

The stocks and pillories were usually placed in a busy public area, such as the town square, and the offender would be locked in for several hours or even days. During this time, they were exposed to public ridicule, insults, and sometimes even physical abuse. Passersby would often throw rotten food, stones, or other objects at the offender, further adding to their humiliation. The purpose of this punishment was not only to punish the offender but also to deter others from committing similar crimes. Hello, Shana how are you doing? I hope everything is okay with you and your family. I recently finished some part-time work at a local supermarket nearby. I will explain how the job was and how i felt after finishing the job.

I worked at a supermarket a couple blocks away and I had to pack shelves and did the cashier job. Packing shelves meant I had to organize the different food products and more in correct order and make sure no incorrect product was placed at a certain shelf. Being a cashier meant I have to scan customers items one by one and collect the money and place it into the register and return change. I decided to do it because I want to experience adulthood and working for my own money, I also did it to make good friendships with all sorts of people.

Packing the shelves was the easier job because it only consisted of putting items together. Being a cashier hurt my hands but eventually I pulled through.Packing shelves could be described as a fun job which makes you feel adrenaline. Being a cashier on the other hand is the same it just does more work on your hands and your mind. Some customers were rude but my communication skills were top tier and so it wasn't a problem.

I felt really proud of myself after the whole experience. It was alot of fun and it made me feel very responsible and important to society. My parents are proud of me and I feel happy because I made a difference to a few people and that was my prime goal.
