Answers

The answer to the question is c. Keiko has not yet developed self-control. At three years old, children are still learning how to regulate their emotions and behaviors.

It is common for young children to struggle with sharing and taking turns, which can result in behaviors like shoving and taking toys.

Aggression in young children is often a result of a combination of factors, including temperament, environment, and developmental stage. While some mental disorders may contribute to aggressive behavior, it is unlikely to be the primary explanation in this case. Similarly, cultural factors may influence behavior, but it is important to remember that aggression is not universally accepted or encouraged in any culture. Finally, hormonal changes typically do not play a significant role in aggression in young children. Overall, it is most likely that Keiko's behavior is a normal part of her development and will improve as she gains more self-control and social skills.

In fact, it may be even more critical now due to the rapidly changing work environment. Technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate, and companies need to keep up with these changes in order to remain competitive.

Additionally, companies need to ensure that their employees have the skills necessary to navigate these changes and continue to provide value to the organization. Employee development can take many forms, including training, mentoring, coaching, and job rotations. It can help employees stay engaged, motivated, and committed to the organization, which can lead to higher levels of productivity and job satisfaction. Employee development helps bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in the workplace. By offering training and development opportunities, employers ensure their workforce is equipped to meet the ever-evolving demands of the job market.

Second, industries and technologies are continuously changing. Employee development programs enable employees to stay updated with the latest advancements in their respective fields, ensuring they remain competitive and can adapt to changes in the workplace.

Third, employee development is essential for retaining and motivating talent. By investing in their employees' growth, employers demonstrate a commitment to their success, which in turn leads to increased job satisfaction, higher retention rates, and improved overall productivity.

In summary, employee development remains a critical aspect of any organization's success, regardless of the education levels of its employees. It ensures a skilled and adaptable workforce, fosters employee satisfaction, and contributes to the organization's long-term growth.

In two well written paragraphs, describe the Selective Service’s lottery system for drafting soldiers into the military. Write one paragraph for each of the following points.

Describe in detail the process of being drafted.
How people could have gotten out of the draft?

Answers

Answer:

The Selective Service lottery system was used in the United States during the Vietnam War era to draft soldiers into military service. The process of being drafted began with the registration of all men between the ages of 18 and 25. This registration required individuals to provide their personal information and to answer a series of questions to determine their eligibility for military service. Once registered, the Selective Service would use a lottery system to randomly select individuals to be drafted. The lottery was based on the birthdates of all eligible men, with the first date drawn being assigned a draft number of 1, and so on. The draft board would then call up individuals according to their draft numbers until the required number of soldiers was met.

People could have gotten out of the draft through a variety of means. One way was to obtain a deferment, which was a temporary postponement of military service. Deferments could be granted for a variety of reasons, such as being enrolled in college, having a medical condition that made service impossible, or being the sole breadwinner for a family. Another way to avoid the draft was to seek exemption from military service. Exemptions could be granted for religious or moral beliefs, or for certain occupational reasons, such as being a minister or working in a critical industry. Finally, individuals could attempt to evade the draft by leaving the country or going into hiding, although these methods were illegal and could result in severe consequences if caught.

If a draft is approved by Congress and the president: Men between the ages of 18 and 25 who are registered with the Selective Service System will begin receiving calls for duty.

During the Second World War, how were men drafted into the US military?

The Selective Training and Service Act of 1940 was enacted on September 16, 1940, and it mandated that all men between the ages of 21 and 45 register for the draft. The United States' first peacetime draft was this one. During the Vietnam War, the United States used the Selective Service lottery system to enlist soldiers in the military. All men between the ages of 18 and 25 were required to register in order to begin the draft process. In order to determine a person's eligibility for military service, they were required to complete a series of questions and provide personal information through this registration.

The Selective Service would select individuals at random to be drafted using a lottery system once they were registered. All eligible men's birthdates served as the basis for the lottery, with the first date drawn receiving a draft number of 1, and so on. After that, the draft board would call people up based on their draft numbers until the required number of soldiers was reached.

1.Why the US Fed pays interest on bank excess reserves?
2. Can the Fed control the short-term T-Bill rate or the
long-term T-bond’s?

Answers

The United States Federal Reserve pays interest on bank excess reserves for many reasons such as to put a floor under the federal funds rate, Controlling inflation, Encouraging banks to keep their reserves with the Fed and  Long-term T-bond

1. To put a floor under the federal funds rate: Banks frequently lend to each other in the overnight market, and the federal funds rate is the interest rate that banks charge for these loans. The interest rate on excess reserves (IOER) sets a floor on the federal funds rate since it establishes the interest rate that banks can earn on excess reserves. Banks will only lend their reserves to other banks if they can earn more money than the IOER.

2. Controlling inflation: By setting interest rates, the Federal Reserve can influence inflation. The Federal Reserve uses several tools to keep the economy from overheating and causing inflation, including the interest rate on excess reserves. By adjusting the IOER, the Fed can affect how much banks lend and borrow from each other. If the economy is growing too quickly, causing inflation, the Federal Reserves can raise interest rates on excess reserves to encourage banks to hold on to their excess reserves rather than lend them out.

3. Encouraging banks to keep their reserves with the Fed: To stimulate the economy during the financial crisis, the Federal Reserve lowered interest rates, making it cheaper for banks to borrow from each other. As a result, banks had a lot of excess reserves, and the Federal Reserve paid interest on them to encourage banks to hold on to their reserves rather than lend them out.

4. Long-term T-bond: Long-term Treasury bonds are popular with investors because they are considered less risky than other types of investments, such as stocks. When investors are worried about the economy, they may buy Treasury bonds, which drives up the price of the bonds and lowers the yield. The yield on long-term Treasury bonds is important because it is used to set the interest rates on mortgages and other loans. If the yield on Treasury bonds is low, then interest rates on mortgages and other loans will be low as well.

Assimilation was one ideological basis of French colonial policy in the 19th and the 20th centuries. Unlike in the British Empire, the French Colonial Empire taught its subjects that by adopting French language and culture, they could eventually become French.

The policy of assimilation was the official colonial policy of the French administration in West Africa. The system involved the imposition of French culture on the West African culture. It was meant to substitute the culture, language, religion, law, mode of dressing, etc.

The definition of assimilation is to become like others, or help another person to adapt to a new environment. An example of assimilation is the change of dress and behaviors an immigrant may go through when living in a new country. Assimilation is defined as to learn and comprehend.

Answer: Basically assimilation means changing beliefs, behaviors, culture, language etc. to adapt to a new environment. France does this through secularism which means separation of religion from the state, religion has no place in ethics of the state and in no civil affairs. France also expects it's citizens to identify with this, thus assimilating them at least in front of the state. HOPE THIS HELPS GOOD LUCK :)))

Which of the three dimensions of social stratification--wealth, power, and

Answers

God, if I could choose, I would say none. All of these lead to inequality (because circumstances vary between many individuals) but I believe prestige should hold the most weight in determining social class. Prestige (which is respect, recognition, or regard) is based on many criteria, including wealth, family background, fame, leadership, power, occupation, and accomplishments. Leadership, power, and accomplishments can both be achieved by any individual with hard work. This is still an unfair balance (gender inequality, racial/ethnical inequality/racism) because of individual factors, it still leaves hope for some people to rise the social ladder.

Of the three dimensions of social stratification the one that I think has the most weight has to be Prestige.

Prestige has to do with the amount of respect that a person commands in the society that they find themselves. It is the respect that is associated with their status in the society.

The reason why I chose this is the fact that a person may have the two other options but they do not command the respect that they should have from the society.
