Step 1: Go to your USAJOBS Account

To apply for a promotion, you must first log into your account at USAJOBS.


Step 2: Upload or Create a Résumé

Your USAJOBS account allows you to upload an updated résumé to use when applying for a promotion.


Step 3: Upload Documents

Up to 10 documents can be added to your account that you can include in your promotion application such as SF-50s, performance appraisals, college transcripts, DD-214, and training certificates. Click "Saved Documents" on the left side of your account page and follow the directions for uploading, making sure that each uploaded document does not exceed 3MB in size.


Step 4: Apply

When you have located a job opening for a promotion that you are interested in applying to
