What was the Renaissance? The Renaissance is a term to refer to the cultural movement that took place in Europe during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.

lithography is a________process, which means that the printing surface is flat, not raised which relies on the fact that oil and water do not mix.
Lithography is a printing process that uses a flat printing surface, rather than a raised one, to transfer ink onto paper.
This surface is typically a smooth stone or metal plate that has been treated with a special coating that can attract ink in certain areas and repel it in others. The process relies on the principle that oil and water do not mix. The image is drawn onto the surface with a greasy substance such as a lithographic crayon or ink, which adheres to the greasy areas but is repelled by the non-greasy areas. When the plate is dampened with water and ink is rolled onto the surface, the ink adheres only to the greasy areas, allowing the image to be transferred to the paper when it is pressed against the plate. This allows for highly detailed, accurate reproductions of artwork and other visual materials.

Which Russian composer wrote the 1812 Overture?
O A. Rimsky-Korsakov
OB. Mussorgsky
OC. Borodin
OD. Tchaikovsky
Answer:
D. Tchaikovsky
Explanation:
The 1812 Overture was composed by Pyotr Iltich Tachikovsky to commemorate victory by the Russians against Napoleon's invasion ins 1812.
During the premiere of 1812 Overture, they didn’t use the cannons. The whole thing was a disaster of a performance. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. I think they were going to perform it at a new cathedral, but the cathedral wasn’t finished being built. They had to perform the piece in a tiny tent (hence no cannons). I don’t think they had all of the musicians and instruments too. They didn’t have the brass there. Tsar Alexander was meant to attend, however, he was assassinated before he could. Tchaikovsky also didn’t conduct it.
Thank you,
Eddie
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer who wrote the 1812 Overture in 1880. Option D. is correct.
The overture commemorates Russia's successful defense of the French invasion of the country by Napoleon in 1812.
The 1812 Overture's popularity demonstrated to him that the theatrical spectacular was more important to the general public than the ardently fought-for personal expression of his symphonies, concertos, and chamber music. Tchaikovsky grew more and more confident that the more people misunderstood his craft and more popular his overture got.
Therefore, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky, and Borodin were all Russian composers, but they did not write the 1812 Overture. So, the correct option is D.

The speaker feels they could be more effective than famous education reformers because of their firsthand experience growing up in an inner city public school environment, which gives them a deeper understanding and empathy for the adversities faced by students in similar circumstances.
Unlike renowned reformers who may approach education issues sympathetically, the speaker can empathize with the adversities faced by students from similar backgrounds. This personal understanding allows the speaker to connect on a deeper level and provide meaningful support.
Having witnessed the very real educational consequences of being raised by a single mother on government aid and attending underprivileged schools, the speaker has gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by marginalized students. This firsthand knowledge goes beyond sympathy and enables the speaker to develop targeted solutions that address the root causes of educational disparities.
Moreover, the speaker's own educational journey, including witnessing their older brother's trajectory from high school graduation to dropping out of college, has sparked a desire to understand why some students succeed while others face obstacles. This curiosity and commitment to learning provide the speaker with a unique perspective on educational reform.

Write: Why does the speaker feel that he could be more effective than famous education reformers?
The text:
When I actually did make it to college, I told my friend Brennan how our teachers would always ask us to raise our hands if we were going to college. I was taken aback when Brennan said, “Karim, I’ve never been asked that question before.” It was always, “What college are you going to?” Just the way that question is phrased made it unacceptable for him not to have gone to college.
Nowadays I get asked a different question. “How were you able to make it out?” For years I said I was lucky, but it’s not just luck. When my older brother and I graduated from high school at the very same time and he later dropped out of a two-year college, I wanted to understand why he dropped out and I kept studying. It wasn’t until I got to Cornell as a Presidential Research Scholar that I started to learn about the very real educational consequences of being raised by a single mother on government aid and attending the schools that I did. That’s when my older brother’s trajectory began to make complete sense to me.
I also learned that our most admirable education reformers, people like Arne Duncan, the former US Secretary of Education, or Wendy Kopp, the founder of Teach For America, had never attended an inner city public school like I had. So much of our education reform is driven by a sympathetic approach, where people are saying, “Let’s go and help these poor inner city kids, or these poor black and Latino kids,” instead of an empathetic approach, where someone like me, who had grown up in this environment, could say, “I know the adversities that you’re facing and I want to help you overcome them.”

Explanation:
The play begins with the brief appearance of a trio of witches and then moves to a military camp, where the Scottish King Duncan hears the news that his generals, Macbeth and Banquo, have defeated two separate invading armies—one from Ireland, led by the rebel Macdonwald, and one from Norway. Following their pitched battle with these enemy forces, Macbeth and Banquo encounter the witches as they cross a moor. The witches prophesy that Macbeth will be made thane (a rank of Scottish nobility) of Cawdor and eventually King of Scotland. They also prophesy that Macbeth’s companion, Banquo, will beget a line of Scottish kings, although Banquo will never be king himself.
The witches vanish, and Macbeth and Banquo treat their prophecies skeptically until some of King Duncan’s men come to thank the two generals for their victories in battle and to tell Macbeth that he has indeed been named thane of Cawdor. The previous thane betrayed Scotland by fighting for the Norwegians and Duncan has condemned him to death. Macbeth is intrigued by the possibility that the remainder of the witches’ prophecy—that he will be crowned king—might be true, but he is uncertain what to expect. He visits with King Duncan, and they plan to dine together at Inverness, Macbeth’s castle, that night. Macbeth writes ahead to his wife, Lady Macbeth, telling her all that has happened.
