Answer: The third one is the answer.
Explanation:
The marriage of the two radios, followed by a great reception is an example of a pun. Thus, option C is the correct answer.
What is a Pun?A pun, also known as paronomasia, is a type of word play in which multiple meanings of a term or similar-sounding words are used to achieve a humorous or rhetorical effect. These ambiguities can occur as a result of the deliberate use of homophonic, homographic, metonymic, or figurative language. Puns can be considered in-jokes or idiomatic constructions because their usage and meaning are usually unique to a particular language or culture.
As radios are used as receptors of signals, it is ambiguously stated, having a pun that if two radios are married there will be a great reception, actually meaning that two good radio will be excellent receptors of signal.

Plot: element in a story can the reader use to understand the story's theme. Thus, option D is the correct option.
What is plot of a story?A story's storyline outlines the events that keep the reader interested from start to finish. Throughout the beginning of writing, storytellers have tried many plot structures. Understanding the many story types and possible narrative structures can help you make your stories come to life, regardless of what genre you write in.
The events that make up a story's plot all lead to or have an impact on one another and form a larger narrative. In other words, the plot is a set of causes and effects that mold the whole tale. In other words, the term "of grief" adds causality, which is when the premise turns into a storyline. They show that there is a desperate need for all
countries to be willing to help refugees
They show that the United States has participated in
international conventions on how to handle the refugee
crisis
They make it clear that the United States will lose the
respect of other nations if it does not help these children
This question is missing the excerpt. I've found it online. It is the following:
Read the excerpt from "Children of the Drug Wars."
By sending these children away, "you are handing them a death sentence," says José Arnulfo Ochoa Ochoa, an expert in Honduras with World Vision International, a Christian humanitarian aid group. This abrogates international conventions we have signed and undermines our credibility as a humane country. It would be a disgrace if this wealthy nation turned its back on the 52,000 children who have arrived since October, many of them legitimate refugees.
The underlined words and phrases have strong negative connotations. How do they support the author's purpose? [...]
Answer:
They support the author's purpose because:
A. They draw attention to the opinion that the United States is not doing enough to help these children.
Explanation:
Even though the excerpt is missing the underlined words and phrases, there is only one option that has any true connection with what is being said. The excerpt is about how the U.S. has been failing to help children who arrive in the country as refugees. Instead of welcoming them with care and safety, they are often sent away, back to their countries. It is clear that the U.S. is not doing enough for those children. Therefore, the correct option is letter A.
Options B through D can be easily eliminated. This excerpt does not concern other countries' roles in this crisis, international conventions, or the way in which the U.S. will be regarded by other nations.

A) They draw attention to the opinion that the United States is not doing enough to help these children.

Answer:
1. though the argument is valid in itself it leaves room to still ask questions. "why didnt you do it before" "how do i know you're not lying" So, to the teacher this argument might seem like more of an excuse. The student might have had full intentions to complete the project last night, but it just so happened to be the one night the internet was down. now, you can put blame on the students lack on time management skills, but as teachers they should look at the bigger picture. What steps led up to the point where the student only had last night to complete a project. It could be that the student has many other responsibilities to take care of. Due to this the argument should be valid, but not excused.
A better argument would be to explain to the teacher what circumstances the student is facing which caused them to only have that night to complete the project. Instead of just giving a surface lever argument dig deep into the moments leading up to this point. If the student has learning disabilities this could also be a great factor in determining why the student decided to work on the project last minute. For example, with ADHD many people tend to just forget things. In some people ADHD makes it mentally draining to do something they dont want to do especially when timed.

My sister Natalie wanted to grow up in seconds and not in years. I was left behind to catch up in real-time. Only two years apart, I also felt decades away from her. Natalie wanted privacy, a personal room, and their mother’s pretty possessions at ten. I longed for her cuddles, which she only dispensed when she had upset me and was sorry. I loved my big sister with every ounce of my being though she felt weighed down by my displays of affection.
“When I was your age, your aunt Jen and I weren’t close,” our mother confessed. “Now, we can’t get enough of each other. Your grandparents are old, and we share our worries and responsibilities, you know.”
I wasn’t ready to think about that—my beautiful mother being frail or my towering father using a cane. I suspected Natalie would be ahead in the care arrangements and that I would try to play catch-up. I wondered if I would always be just a shadow in Natalie’s life until the day I caught her sobbing in the hallway.
“You didn’t see anything,” Natalie said between sobs and rushed to her room, which she didn’t seal with a locked door.
Entering her neat room, which was a furniture catalog, was a privilege. The veneer of the green curtains added a layer of beauty to the windows. Except for crumbled tissues in the trashcan, nothing seemed unkempt. What had been bothering my perfect sister?
“What’s wrong?” I asked and sat on the edge of the bed to take up the smallest possible space. Then, I spotted a broken friendship bracelet by the night lamp. How could I have not noticed before? Carly hadn’t come over in months. Natalie wasn’t on the phone every free minute of Saturday and Sunday. I had been buried in books and band practice and failed to see my big sister’s loneliness. “Do you want to watch Zombie Cheer together? We don’t have to talk. We can just be…together.”
Natalie lunged at me to hold me tight and wailed until my hair was damp. I let her. Then, she dried her face with tissues and took me by the hand to the living room. Mother had already set up two big bowls of popcorn, which looked like heaps of comfort. Mother always knew everything.

What did you find the most surprising about the carbon and nitrogen cycles??
The most surprising aspect of the carbon and nitrogen cycles is the intricate interconnectedness between the two cycles, as they rely on each other for various processes and transformations.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the carbon and nitrogen cycles is the close relationship between the two. While the cycles operate independently, they are interconnected through various processes. The carbon cycle involves the exchange of carbon dioxide (CO2) between the atmosphere, oceans, and land. It plays a crucial role in regulating Earth's climate. Surprisingly, the nitrogen cycle, which is essential for the production of proteins and nucleic acids, depends on the carbon cycle for energy. Nitrogen fixation, the process of converting atmospheric nitrogen into a usable form, requires energy derived from photosynthesis, which is powered by the carbon cycle.
Furthermore, the carbon and nitrogen cycles interact through decomposition and nutrient cycling. When organic matter decomposes, carbon is released into the atmosphere as CO2, contributing to the carbon cycle. Simultaneously, nitrogen is released as ammonia (NH3) or nitrate (NO3-) ions, which become available for plants to use in the nitrogen cycle. Nitrogen-fixing bacteria, which convert atmospheric nitrogen into a usable form, often live in close association with carbon-fixing organisms like plants. This symbiotic relationship demonstrates the interdependence between the two cycles.
Understanding the interconnected nature of the carbon and nitrogen cycles is vital for comprehending ecosystem dynamics and global environmental changes. The surprising relationship between these cycles highlights the complexity of Earth's natural systems and emphasizes the importance of considering multiple factors when studying biogeochemical processes.
