Explain the significance of of ukiyo-e, and the Impact it had on western life and art produced in the late 1800s

Answers

Answer:

Ukiyo-e was established during the Edo period and was cherished as a form of mass entertainment by common people across Edo (present-day Tokyo). Its origin can be traced back to around the late 17th century. Colorful ukiyo-e, with its bold contrasts of black and white, is full of a sense of freedom that is characterized by a peaceful and uneventful era that lasted for more than 260 years, and vividly portrayed the nature of the freehearted common people of the Edo era and what their social life was like at the time.

What Is Ukiyo-e?
The Roots of Ukiyo-e

Hishikawa Moronobu
The word ukiyo refers to the world of common people and e means "picture." Thus when ukiyo-e first emerged in the late sixteenth century, it usually depicted everyday life in the city of Kyoto. It wasn't until the eighteenth century that ukiyo-e became a popular art form, though, thanks partly to advances in woodblock printing techniques. Also, familiar subjects like kabuki actors and beautiful women came to be depicted around this time, and books carrying illustrations by young ukiyo-e artists were widely circulated. These factors helped ukiyo-e become a part of Japan's popular culture.

Technical Innovations

Tolii Kiyonobu
At first ukiyo-e weren't prints but paintings made with sumi(black ink); later on, color was added, and as the number of colors increased and the paintings became more complicated, the woodblock printing technique was developed to mass-produce prints of the same design. Only a few colors were used in the early prints, but as the technique improved, ukiyo-e became more colorful and refined.

Making woodblock prints was a three-stage process: (1) painting a design with ink, (2) carving the design onto wooden blocks, and (3) applying colored ink to the blocks and pressing sheets of paper on them to print the design. There were specialists for each of these stages, and the entire process took a lot of work, but once the blocks were completed, it became much easier than before to make reproductions of the same design.
Hiroshige
The prints mass-produced in this way were circulated widely among the public, and ukiyo-e developed into a popular art form.

Ukiyo-e Genres

As ukiyo-e developed into popular art, subjects having to do with entertainment came to be taken up. Yakusha-e were portraits of kabuki actors in popular roles; they were sort of like the posters and photographs of movie stars that you can get today. Bijin-ga illustrated beautiful women of Edo (present-day Tokyo)
Toyokuni
You can think of them as images of the ideal urban woman. Landscapes didn't become the subjects of ukiyo-e until later, when people became better off and could go on trips for leisure. Landscape prints were used as today's equivalent of postcards.

Influence on Western Art

At around the end of the nineteenth century, European painters came across ukiyo-e prints that were being used as wrapping paper. They were struck very strongly by the expressive curves, bold use of colors, and liberal designs of ukiyo-e.

Suzuki Harunobu
Until then, European and U.S. artists had never come across the sorts of techniques that ukiyo-e artists used. Ukiyo-e thus had a great influence on such Impressionist painters as Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet.

Care. Citizens should be concerned about the good of their fellow citizens. "Empathy" is a bad word in some political circles because it's associated with advocating for big government solutions to social problems, but caring can manifest in a lot of different ways. It could be private acts of caring, collaborative work through religious institutions, civic groups, or labor unions, actions by private companies, or government activity. Regardless of the mechanism, good citizens care for one another.

Gloom Of Night
Poet: Grace Duffield Goodwin

The gloom of night is dense and deep;
Rough is the path as we grope along;
Courage, Heart, as the shadows creep -
This is the matin-song:
After the night is noon;
After the journey, rest;
The world will waken in gladness soon,
And the heart that sings is blest!

The glare of the sun is hard and hot;
The road is dusty, the way is long;
Shift your burden, and heed it not, —
This is the even song:
After the noon is night;
After the journey, rest;
For the wind will wake and the stars be bright.
And the heart that sings is blest!

When do great vacation photographs begin?
• The moment your camera is out! Great photographs can be of anything.

Why should you try out a camera bag before taking it on a trip?
• To ensure it’ll hold up and provide you with all the functions and storage space you require for your equipment.

Why would you photograph a sign?
• Perhaps to remember the specific location you’re taking photographs in?

What are the advantages of taking photographs of animals at the zoo?
• They’re unpredictable subjects, and every photo is likely to turn out unique in it’s own ways.

What do you want to do when taking photographs of people on vacation?
• Make sure everyone in frame is ready and willing to be photographed.

How can you take a photograph of someone without letting them know?
• Well, unless the circumstances are special, you really shouldn’t photograph someone without their concern. However, if they’ve given permission prior, I’d say just be discreet about setting your camera up, switch all audio noise off and avoid suspicious behaviors.

What kind of things should you remember when traveling with your camera?
• Your equipment should be easily accessible and your camera should be safe at all times, as well as kept close by in case of a photo opportunity as well as to keep it from being taken by thieving hands.

Should you research an event before going to take photographs? Why?
• As to plan ahead on possible photo subjects, locations and ideas. You want to know how to prepare, as well as where to be and when as to not miss anything you wish to get pictures of.

Do people need to be in the center of your photograph?
• Nope! Rule of Thirds shows us we can always aline the subject, regardless of what it may be, however we so choose as to add appeal and use creative liberty to our disposal. In fact, it’s sometimes best to avoid aligning people in your photography in the center, as it can sometimes be uninteresting.

I hope this somewhat helps you!

Simon is attending a concert. He glances through the printed program for the concert and sees that the piece the orchestra will play is organized into four movements. Based on this, what form of music will Simon MOST likely hear at the concert?

A.
rondo

B.
binary

C.
ternary

D.
symphony

Answers

The answer is D. symphony.

Symphonies are usually written in four movements.

Answer:

D. symphony

Explanation:

The organization of music into movements is a common feature of symphonies. Symphonies are typically large-scale orchestral works that consist of several movements, each with its own distinctive character and musical themes. The fact that Simon sees the piece is organized into four movements strongly suggests that he will be hearing a symphony at the concert. Rondo, binary, and ternary are musical forms used in smaller works, such as sonatas or dances, but not typically in symphonies.

B. the Baroque style.
C. the Classical style.
D. None of the above.

Answers

Unresolved dissonance is a characteristic of the Baroque style.

Unresolved dissonance is a characteristic of the Baroque style. Thus the correct option is B.

What is the Baroque style?

In the 17th and first half of the 18th centuries, Europe saw a flourishing period of the Baroque, which was a highly elegant and extravagant style of architecture, art, and design.

The period in Western art history known as the Baroque produced works of visual arts, construction, and the development and construction of buildings.Baroque places a strong emphasis on the dramatic motion that is exaggerated and transparent, easily understood detail.

A dissonant tone mixture is one that is unstable whereas consonance is the more reliable. Dissonance is excitement, which has no place in a harmonious setting. Unresolved dissonance results from tension that has not been resolved.

Therefore, option B is appropriate.

Can anyone explain skzlore?

Answers

Yeah what ever they said was the best answer

The term "skzlore" does not have a commonly known or widely accepted meaning. It seems to be a combination of the abbreviation "skz" and the word "lore."

"Skz" is a common abbreviation used by fans of the South Korean boy group Stray Kids to refer to them. It is derived from the Korean word "Seu Kei Jeu", which is the Korean name of the group.

On the other hand, "lore" typically refers to traditional knowledge or stories passed down through generations. It is often associated with mythology, legends, or cultural beliefs.

Considering this, "skzlore" might be used to describe the collective knowledge, stories, and fan-created content surrounding the group Stray Kids. It could include things like fan theories, interpretations of their music videos or lyrics, inside jokes, and information about the group's history and members.

However, since the term "skzlore" does not have an official definition, its meaning may vary depending on the context and the person using it. It's always best to ask for clarification or more information if you come across this term in a specific context
