Reaction A is the uncatalyzed reaction while Reaction B is catalyzed with enzyme Y and reaction C is catalyzed with enzyme X.
The graph of reaction A has a huge bump indicating that it requires greater activation energy. The greater the activation energy, the slower the reaction. Therefore, reaction A is an uncatalyzed reaction.
In the case of reaction B, the activation energy required lesser than A but greater than C which means that a catalyst is used but is not with the lowest activation energy. So it must have undergone a reaction with enzyme Y.
In the last case, the reaction required very less activation energy than the A and B reactions. Therefore, this reaction utilized the enzyme with the lowest activation energy which is enzyme X.

What geographic obstacle causes water to condense in an air mass as the air mass moves? Explain your answer.
A. Forests
B.oceans
C.prairies
D.mountains
Answer:
Mountains
Explanation:
Mountains are colder than the lower elevations. When humid air enters a cooler region, the saturated air begins to cool and this reduces the ability of the air to maintain the evaporated water is the gas state. Molecules of water have reduced enerfy at the cooler temperatures. They will slow down and coalesce with other water molecules to form small droplets of water. The atmoshere cannot hold these heaevier droplets and they begin to fall (i.e., rain).
One migh ask why does the air temperature drop at higher altitudes? Heat rises, so why shouldn't it be warmer on top a mountain, compared to the valley. The reason is that the atmosphere becomes less dense the further from Earth's center on gets. This less dense air has a lower water saturation point, so it rains.

What do you know about elements that are metals, nonmetals, and metalloids?
Where is each type of element found on the Periodic Table of Elements?
What kind of luster does each type of element have?
How well do metals, nonmetals, and metalloids conduct electricity?
Which type of element is your favorite? Why?
Answer:
Metal is a material that is hard, a conductor of heat and electricity, and is malleable and ductile, meaning it can be shaped and drawn into wires. Non metals are chemical elements that do not have metallic properties; they are not conductors of heat or electricity, they are soft, not ductile or malleable etc. Metalloids have properties of both metals and non metals, for example they are not good conductors but can still do it, and are brittle and break easy.
Metals are found on the left side, non metals are on the right, and metalloids are in between.
Metals are lustrous and shiny. Non metals are not usually lustrous, excluding diamond etc. , and metalloids are lustrous as well, like metals.
Metals are excellent conductors, non metals cannot conduct, and metalloids can do it to some extent.
My favorite is metal, as they are the most useful due to their properties like conductivity, malleability and daily uses, and also as they are shiny.

Hello!
On the periodic table of elements there are metals, nonmetals, and metalloids. The largest part of the periodic table consists of metals at 75%, these metals are then divided into different groups. When at room temperature each of the metals are solid besides mercury which becomes a liquid. Nonmetals are either a gas such as hydrogen. oxygen, nitrogen, or a solid such as sulfur, and carbon. Nonmetals are also not the best conductors of electricity or heat. Metalloids are an element of the periodic table which are intermediate between the nonmetals and metals which I have mentioned before. Each element which is found in the Periodic Table are organized in a certain manner. Each box has an element which contains an atomic number, mass, symbol, and sometimes a name to go along with it. Each type of element contains a silvery-white luster. As stated above nonmetals are not the best conductors of electricity however metals and metalloids are good conductors of electricity. My favorite element is copper because it is the only metal besides gold that's coloring isn't naturally grey or silver. Besides the color being unique this element has been used by humans for over 8,000 years making it the oldest metal object found in the middle east.

Calculate the mass of water needed to prepare 45 g of salt solution if the salt content in the solution is 12%.
The mass of water needed to prepare 45 g of salt solution if the salt content in the solution is 12% is 330g.
The solute is the thing that needs to dissolve, and the solvent is the thing that needs to dissolve it. With a wide variety of solutes and solvents, solutions can be created. We are aware of a wide range of solutions.
Given,
Mass of the salt solution (Solute) = 45g
salt content in the solution = 12%
Let Mass of water = x
Total mass of solution = 45 + x
Concentration of solution = Mass of solute / Mass of Solution × 100
⇒ 12 = 45 / 45 + x × 100
⇒ 12/100 = 45 / 45 + x
⇒ 0.12 = 45 / 45 + x
⇒ 0.12 (45 + x) = 45

what influence does the presence of alloying elements (other than carbon) have on the shape of a hardenability curve?
The presence of alloying elements, other than carbon, can have a significant influence on the shape of a hardenability curve. Hardenability refers to the ability of a material to be hardened by heat treatment, specifically through quenching.
Alloying elements can affect the hardenability curve by altering the critical cooling rate required for full martensitic transformation, which determines the depth and hardness of the hardened layer.
These elements can promote the formation of different microstructural phases, such as carbides or intermetallic compounds, that can impede or facilitate the transformation process.
Some alloying elements, such as chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium, have a hardening effect and tend to shift the hardenability curve to the right, indicating a slower cooling rate required for full hardening.
On the other hand, elements like nickel and manganese have a softening effect and shift the curve to the left, indicating a faster cooling rate for hardening.
The specific influence of alloying elements on the hardenability curve depends on their chemical composition, concentration, and interaction with other elements in the alloy.

What is the relationship between CO2 and O2 for sea urchins?
The relation between CO₂ and O₂ for sea urchins is impacted by the rise in carbon dioxide and oxygen is absorbed from the water.
The exoskeleton of sea urchins, which are found in the ocean, is comprised of calcium carbonate. They create calcium carbonate by absorbing the carbon dioxide from the water. As waste, they discharge carbon dioxide out of the anus.
The sea urchin takes its oxygen from the water. In the canals, oxygen diffuses. Oxygen diffuses into the cells from canals. The ocean's pH may rise as a result of the increased carbon dioxide. A higher pH has a deleterious impact on the calcification process. Therefore, the increased carbon dioxide has an impact on how the larvae and adults of sea urchins calcify.

To calculate the circulation of a vector field around a counter-clockwise oriented sector of a circle centered at the origin with a given radius and central angle, we can use Green's theorem.
Green's theorem relates the circulation of a vector field around a closed curve to the double integral of the curl of the vector field over the region enclosed by the curve. In this case, we are interested in calculating the circulation of the vector field around the sector of the circle. The circulation of a vector field around a closed curve is given by the line integral of the vector field along the curve. Using Green's theorem, we can convert this line integral into a double integral over the region enclosed by the curve. To apply Green's theorem, we need to calculate the curl of the vector field. Once we have the curl, we can evaluate the double integral over the sector region to find the circulation. The specific calculations depend on the given vector field and the parameters of the sector, such as radius and central angle. By applying Green's theorem and performing the necessary calculations, the circulation of the vector field around the counter-clockwise oriented sector of the circle can be determined.

The color of the solution changed when the person blew into the tube because blowing into the tube introduced carbon dioxide, which reacted with water to form carbonic acid. The indicator used in this experiment is Bromothymol blue.
Bromothymol blue is a pH indicator. It is a blue solution that turns yellow when the pH drops to 6 or less. When the pH rises to 7.6 or above, it turns green. Bromothymol blue has a pKa of 6.3. The buffer system used in this lab is the bicarbonate buffer system. The bicarbonate buffer system maintains the pH of the blood in humans. The system works by shifting the equilibrium between carbon dioxide, bicarbonate ions, and carbonic acid.
When carbon dioxide is produced in the body, it diffuses into the blood and reacts with water to form carbonic acid. The carbonic acid then dissociates to form bicarbonate ions and hydrogen ions. The bicarbonate ions act as a buffer by reacting with any excess hydrogen ions to form carbonic acid, which can then dissociate to form more bicarbonate ions.

b) Strong nucleophile, good leaving group, polar aprotic solvent, methyl or primary halide. c) Weak nucleophile, good leaving group, polar aprotic solvent, methyl or primary halide d) Strong nucleophile, poor leaving group, polar aprotic solvent, , tertiary halide.
e) Strong nucleophile, good leaving group, polar aprotic solvent, tertiary halide.
Strong nucleophile, good leaving group, polar aprotic solvent, methyl or primary halide. The correct answer is option: b.
In an SN2 reaction, a nucleophile attacks the carbon atom to which the leaving group is attached, while the leaving group departs from the molecule. The reaction proceeds in a single step, with the nucleophile and leaving group involved in the transition state. A strong nucleophile is required to attack the carbon atom, and a good leaving group is necessary to depart from the molecule. Methyl or primary halides are preferred substrates because they are less hindered, making the attack by the nucleophile easier. Option b is correct.
