The two social classes of ancient Rome were made up of patricians and plebeians. citizens. nobles. tribunes.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

The two social classes of ancient Rome were made up of patricians and plebeians.

Explanation:

Patricians were the upper class of Ancient Rome. They claimed to be descendants of the families who founded Rome or who settled there shortly after it was founded. As a consequence of their antiquity in the Roman nation, as well as their status of being original from Rome and not from conquered or annexed peoples, the Patricians originally held most of the political and economic power in Ancient Rome. Thus, they practically controlled to their pleasure the decisions of the Senate, and they handled the appointments of the consuls and other positions of power. This was so until the outbreak of the Patrician-Plebeian War, which ended up granting equality to both social classes through Lex Hortensia in 287 BC.

For their part, the Plebeians were Roman citizens who had civil rights under Roman law, but who had no political power or strategic economic importance. Some of them owned land, inherited from their ancestors, but had no greater wealth than some businesses. They were the lowest free class in Ancient Rome, only above slaves and free non-citizens.

Classical Greece and Rome have contributed greatly to our current understanding of democracy. In ancient Greece, citizens were directly responsible for participating in government decisions. In Rome, the citizens elected government officials to make decisions on their behalf as part of a republican government. Both systems of democracy—direct and representative—have influenced the US political system.

After learning about the history of ancient Greece and Rome, what do you think are the benefits of a democratic system? In what ways did democracy serve Greece and Rome? Has there been a time when democracy didn’t serve Greece or Rome in a way that was beneficial? Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

Henry Ford, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, changed American life in several significant ways:

He revolutionized manufacturing through the implementation of the assembly line: Ford's use of the assembly line, which broke down the manufacturing process into small, repetitive tasks, greatly increased the efficiency and speed of car production. The Morrill Land Grant Act in 1862 allowed colleges to be set up on federal lands by state and territory governments which meant that people would be able to settle on those lands.

Explanation:

I wouldnt want to live in England although its a very beautiful place as well, but in England 1066, Very different from today - that's for sure. There were far fewer people living in England, and large parts of the country were covered by woods.

There were no castles and not many stone buildings. Some churches and monasterial buildings were fashioned from stone, but most of the houses - even grand ones - were made from timber.

There were some large-ish towns - London, York, Winchester, Southampton, Canterbury - but mainly people lived in villages or on farms. There was trade, but many villages were still self-sufficient, only relying on the traders for luxury items.

Families stuck together, especially if they farmed land.

All free-born men could be called on to go to war when their overlord needed them. They had to bring their own weapons - shield, axe, spear, sword and any armour they could afford. Anglo-Saxon warriors usually fought on foot in a shield wall. Horses were only used as transport to get to the battle.

Most people would not have been able to read or write. Noble children, and those whose family engaged in trade, were taught reading, writing, maths and Latin. Some Anglo-Saxon nobles also learnt Norman French and travelled to the courts of Normandy.

England had a very efficient government. The country was divided into Hundreds, a little like today's counties. Leaders of each Hundred formed a council and met regularly to discuss problems and issue fines for transgressions. There was one currency across all of England, and the king's officers collected taxes and kept records.

Compared to some other parts of Europe, England was a very well established, well-run, rich and prosperous country. No wonder William the Conqueror braved the English channel and a war to get his hands on it.

When it comes to music, classical excluded, the United States probably takes the cake. The blues, which originated in the Mississippi Delta, has influenced nearly every known rock and roll icon, both British and American. Even though Britain can claim Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones, both of them have credited American music style as their inspiration. Oh, The Beatles, you say? America has Elvis.

What are imperialism and colonialism, how did they impose themselves so completely around the world between 1850 and 1914, and how far do forms of them continue today?

Answers

Question:

What are imperialism and colonialism? How did they impose themselves around the world between 1850 and 1914, and how far do forms of them continue today?

Answer:

Imperialism and colonialism are ways for stronger nations to take control over other areas. In imperialism, a nation tries to increase their power by gaining more land or by controlling other countries' economies and governments. With colonialism, the country in charge will set up its own government in the new area, sometimes using the resources there for their own benefit.

Between 1850 and 1914, European countries sought to expand their territorial possessions and political influence around the world in order to obtain economic gains and secure markets for their goods. Military might and economic superiority were used to assert control, with countries such as Great Britain, France, and Germany leading the way in this endeavor. Additionally, technological advancements allowed for faster and more efficient communication and transportation, making it easier to extend imperial control. This period of European imperialism and colonialism saw the expansion of colonial empires in Africa, Asia, and the Americas, with indigenous people often being treated as second-class citizens and their cultures seen as inferior.

Though the world has changed drastically since this period, certain forms of imperialism and colonialism still exist today. Neocolonialism, for example, is when a powerful nation will use economic, political, or cultural means to maintain indirect control over a foreign territory. Additionally, countries such as the United States still have military bases in foreign countries, and some nations still receive aid from more powerful countries in exchange for political favors.

moments in which those themes are revealed.

I need help with this

Answers

The first five chapters depict how various people handled their slaves and how those slaves' lives were affected.

The examples of moments in which those themes are revealed were when the slaves were treated harshly, Stowe writing in the first chapter and the impact that a lack of freedom has on them.

How to illustrate the information?

Each slave owner was a unique individual with unique standards, and while all slave owners were awful, not all were pure unadulterated evil. Many slave owners were simply attempting to make a living, and slaves were only a means to an end.

Furthermore, many of those slave owners were extremely rigorous and would torture their own slaves with whips, weapons, or anything else that could cause suffering. Each of the initial chapters dealt with a different topic. Slavery and Race, Christianity and Christian Charity, Women, Home, and Freedom were the five topics.

Harriet Beecher Stowe writes about slavery in the first chapter to highlight the "live dramatic truth" of slavery. The work condemns the horrors of this institution, such as how it degrades black men and women and gives slaveowners total authority, corrupting them.

The author frequently refers to the bible in the chapter about Christianity and Christian charity because it shows that America is a nation where the most dominant religion is Christianity, and that even though most slave owners were Christian, they were sinning by owning slaves because it did not follow the rules of their religion.
