Answer:
Washington surprised the Hessians on Christmas Eve while they were celebrating.
Explanation:
In order to raise morale and ensure the influx of new militia contingents after a series of defeats in 1776, it was necessary for the American armies to win a victory as soon as possible. General Washington decided to attack the weak British garrison in Trenton, the capital of New Jersey (about 1,200 Hessians). Most of his forces crossed at dawn on December 26, 1776, to the left bank of the Delaware River and, deployed in two columns, began the attack on Trenton. The surprised British garrison surrendered after an hour-long battle. The action near Trenton achieved its goal: the militia of New Jersey and Pennsylvania joined a larger number of Washington forces. This soon enabled, on January 3, 1777, a new victory for Washington at Princeton.

Why was it important for the Aztecs to form alliances with other groups in the Valley of Mexico?
Answer:
I might be talking off point. But em..
Explanation:
One of the ways in which the Aztec expanded in strength and wealth at the time was by acting as mercenaries and warriors for other societies in the region. For example, in the decades after the founding of Tenochtitlan they worked as warriors for the Tepanec people. The Tepanec used the Aztec to help with their battles and campaigns in the region against other rival societies. For their help the Aztec received portions of the wealth that the Tepanec gathered from the societies that they defeated. As a result, the city of Tenochtitlan grew in importance and wealth throughout the 14th and 15th centuries. In general though, the Aztec were subjects of the more powerful Tepanec and Aztec leaders were only allowed to remain in power by paying tribute to the Tepanec. Also, during this time period, Aztec rulers increased the power of their society by forming strong alliances with other societies around Lake Texcoco. However, the relationship between the Aztecs and the Tepanec soon became strained and a conflict emerged. Itzcoatl became the leader of the Aztec in 1427 and became the fourth tlatoani of the Aztec people. He reigned over the Aztec Empire from 1427 until 1440, and is best remembered as the leader who saw the Aztecs become the most powerful Mesoamerican society in the Valley of Mexico. For example, as leader he famously formed an alliance with two other societies in the area in order to overthrow their mutual rivals. The Aztecs, Texcoco and Tlacopan joined forces in 1428 to create the Triple Alliance. Together they fought against the Tepanec and challenged them for superiority in the Valley of Mexico. Over time the three were able to overpower all other societies in the Valley of Mexico. As well, the Aztec became the strongest of the Triple Alliance and Tenochtitlan became the center of power in the region. As such, the Triple Alliance was not always equal between the three city-states and heavily benefitted the Aztec. Regardless, the formation of the Triple Alliance allowed the Aztec to expand their empire and eventually take control over large sections of the Mesoamerican region.
AND..
Texcoco, Tenochtitlan and Tlacopán of the Triple Alliance. (Osuna Codex)
All of the Aztec rulers at this time pushed forward with expanding the Aztec Empire across Mexico and strengthening the power of Tenochtitlan. In fact, the city grew in size and importance during this time as the Aztec culture came to dominate the region. For example, by the early 16th century, Tenochtitlan is estimated to have been three to five square miles (eight to thirteen square kilometers), and have a population of between 200,000 and 300,000 people. This means that it was one of the largest cities in the world at the time and larger than any in Europe. As well, the Aztec Empire had spread far from the Valley of Mexico during this time and, at its height, the empire consisted of land across most of central Mexico including the coastlines in both the Gulf of Mexico and Pacific Ocean. This vast expansion meant that the Aztec had conquered and suppressed many different groups of Mesoamerican peoples. The Aztec controlled these different societies by forcing them to provide tributes for payment and ritual sacrifice. Although the Triple Alliance made this expansion possible it also created a large number of enemies for the Aztec. This is important because many of these enemy altepetl would join the Spanish in their assault on the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan.

My chosen issue: Increasing the legal driving age.
Paragraph 1—Explain your perspective on the issue you chose. Write in complete sentences.
Paragraph 2—Describe a different perspective on this issue, one that differs from your own. Write in complete sentences.
Please make the opinion against raising the legal age
I do not believe that the legal driving age should be increased for all ages of people and due to geographical location, this could come as a disadvantage for many. Younger students and adults who live in rural areas would have to use public transport to get to school until they reached the new age. This could then become quite expensive and as school and university fees are extremely expensive as it is, this would be an extra expense that could go to more beneficial things. In the long run, having a car instead of using public transport would become quite useful because even though public transport is expensive, they might not go to the exact destination you require to go. This would then lead to extra travel expenses, as well as more of a hassle and extra stress - which no student ever needs. A simple cross-country train is anywhere from £40-£200+ and no student has this much money, especially in the current cost of living crisis. Young people are already struggling with high rents and the cost of education, they do not need the extra stress and financial problems due to the train fairs. If there were issues of pollution and people wanted to try and stop this cause by raising the legal driving age, then younger people could be encouraged to buy an electric car and could also be given financial help and support from the government to buy one.
However, the highest death rate for drivers is amongst the 17-25 age group, so raising the legal driving age, this would cut the number of deaths in young people and reduce the grief of family members. If this was to be raised, there would be a significant fall in fatalities arising from motor car use and this would have a significant economic benefit; more people wouldn't have to use an ambulance or be treated by the NHS, meaning the NHS's budget could be spent on treating people who's accidents couldn't have been prevented. There would also be significantly fewer drivers on the road, reducing congestion, reducing costs for firms, and ultimately helping save the environment as not as many petrol and diesel cars are polluting the earth. There would also be added health benefits, such as reducing obesity as drivers would be encouraged to use public transport which would involve walking to bus and train stations. People could also realise that for them, walking to their destination is less of a hassle than getting public transport so more people would end up walking.

Letter and style Two or three style characteristics in this piece of art
Medieval artists tended to base their depictions of religious themes more heavily on religion. On the other hand, Renaissance artists tended to draw more inspiration from realists rather than religious parts of reality. One of the fundamental contrasts between the two kinds of art is this.
A resurgence of interest in Classical culture was a feature of the Renaissance. It started in the year 1400 and lasted until 1650. The Greek and Roman writings and artwork were rediscovered, and people today have blended their antiquated concepts in novel ways.
It follows the Classical period and precedes the Modern period, making the Mediaeval period traditionally viewed as the midway period in Western civilization.
