At first, it was frustrating. But as we continued on our journey, I began to notice a strange pattern. Every time the sword refused to fight, our enemies would suddenly disappear without a trace. I tried to brush it off as a stroke of luck, but as it happened more and more frequently, I began to grow uneasy.

It wasn't until we encountered a group of bandits that I realized just how dangerous the sword truly was. As the bandits rushed towards us, swords drawn, the sword suddenly spoke up.

"Hey, I've got this," the sword said confidently.

But as I watched in horror, the sword began to glow with an otherworldly energy. Its blade elongated and twisted, forming a grotesque shape that was nothing like a sword. The bandits screamed in terror as the sword began to move on its own, slicing through them like a hot knife through butter.

I stood there, frozen in place, as the sword destroyed our enemies with ease. When it was all over, the sword reverted back to its original form, as if nothing had happened.

"What...what was that?" I stammered, still in shock.

"That was me," the sword said casually. "I've got some...powers. But you probably don't want to see that again, huh?"

I shook my head in disbelief, suddenly feeling very uneasy about the sword that I held in my hands. As we continued on our journey, I couldn't help but wonder what other secrets the sword was hiding, and whether or not I wanted to stick around to find out.
