A City Mouse and a Country Mouse were acquaintances (friends), and the Country Mouse one day invited his friend to come and see him at his home in the fields. The City Mouse came, and they sat down to a dinner of roots. The fare was not much to the taste of the guest, and presently he broke out with "My poor dear friend, you live here no better than the ants. Now, you should just see how I fare (live)! You must come and stay with me, and I promise you, you shall live on the fat of the land." So when he returned to the city he took the Country Mouse with him, and showed him into a pantry containing flour and oatmeal and figs and honey and dates. The Country Mouse had never seen anything like it, and sat down to enjoy the luxuries his friend provided: but before they had well begun, the door of the larder opened and someone came in. The two Mice scampered off and hid themselves in a narrow and exceedingly uncomfortable hole. Presently, when all was quiet, they ventured out again; but someone else came in, and off they scuttled again. This was too much for the visitor. "Good-bye," said he, "I'm off. You live in the lap of luxury, I can see, but you are surrounded by dangers; whereas at home I can enjoy my simple dinner of roots and corn in peace."
1. Recall the first step in the process to determine theme. In three to four sentences, summarize at least three events that happened in the fable.
2. Recall the second step in the process to determine theme. In two to three sentences, explain why these events happened in the fable.
3. Recall the final step in the process to determine theme—use the events that happened in the fable and why they happened to infer the theme. Writing in complete sentences, identify the theme.
The question is asking to list the events that happened during the story, to determine the theme.
1. The country mouse invited his friend, city mouse, over to his simple home in the fields. When city mouse arrives, he sees how his friend is living and says that country mouse should live with him in a home "on the fat land." The country mouse goes with city mouse to check out his "fabulous home." Country mouse notices all the luxuries the place had to offer, but they constantly were "surrounded by dangers," so he decided to stay safe in a simple home, than in danger in a luxurious home.
2. These events happened because of city mouse persuading country mouse to come to his luxurious home. While they were there, it turns out that the home wasn't as great as was, regarding the dangers and consequences that came with it.
3. The first event describes how people can be so quick to judge people for they have. The second event shows that even though people have nice things, it doesn't always mean that they are living in luxury. The last event shows that we should be grateful for what we have in our lives, and not spend it wishing for things that we want.

Why does Bakirathi Mani think it is tough for Asian Americans to find common ground?
Bakirathi Mani is a scholar who argues that it is difficult for Asian Americans to find common ground because they are a diverse group with different cultural backgrounds and experiences.
She believes that Asian Americans are often grouped together as a monolithic group, ignoring the differences between them and overlooking the complexities of their experiences.Bakirathi Mani argues that this lack of recognition of diversity within the Asian American community leads to a number of issues.
One of these is that Asian Americans are often excluded from discussions of race and racism, as their experiences are not seen as fitting within the Black/White racial binary that dominates American discussions of race. This exclusion from discussions of race and racism can make it difficult for Asian Americans to find common ground with other groups of color

Traveling with a passport is required and without it, therefore you cannot travel. I made the mistake of losing my passport and suffered for it. Read----
I and my family were traveling on the plane to Maui in Hawaii and we had just boarded the plane when the hostess asked for my passport. I said I had it in my bag and groped to find it. In a moment, I froze. I lost my passport! I asked the hostess to wait and I ran out of the plane in shock, I kept asking myself "Where did I leave it?"
I got into the shops inside the airport and tried to remember where i went. Bookstores, Clothing, Sweets, everything! I searched and searched that I almost gave up. I needed that passport!
Then as suddenly as I lost it, a man from one of the shops came walking to me. "Is this yours?' he asked, pointing at a small book with a cover.
"My passport!" I yelled in happiness. This man, who I had never met just saved me! I thanked him heartily and gave him a 100 dollars as a thank you and I quickly boarded the plane as it was almost gong to take off.
That was a horrible experience and I will never lose my passport again. I need that to travel and for all other purposes. Thank god the man was there!

In order to determine what we know about the speaker of a poem, we should gather details about the speaker.
These details can include information about their personality, beliefs, experiences, and relationships. It is important to remember, however, that the speaker of a poem is not necessarily the same as the poet themselves. The speaker may be a fictional character or a persona created by the poet, and their views may not necessarily reflect those of the poet.
Therefore, it is important to approach the speaker of a poem with a critical eye and consider multiple interpretations before drawing conclusions about their identity and perspective.
